I am just wondering if we might get a forum (or a sub category) that you can use to let people in here know when you have done a deal (be it trade, sell, whatever) and it has gone okay.

Kind of like building up a profile on eBay.

Just a thought.

I'd say post on the Buy or Sell forum and in their topic if they have one there.

Yes ... you could do that ... but I was thinking more like you could have a seperate section.

What I thought you could do is put that person's name as the subject and then people could add entries as they dealt with them.

This way it would be a little easier to scan through to see if anyone had any dealings with that person ... be it good or bad.

You could even get creative and use  RED  for posts where you had a problem with that person.

Just a thought.

Sounds like a lawsuit ready to happen.

I mean, you cannot write an accurate employer review anymore, even if everything you say is positive and true. Beacause no one is perfect, any details you leave out, good or bad, reflect that you lied about the employee. If you undersell the employee, (s)he can sue if they fail to get the job, or even just get paid less than (s)he wanted. If you fail to disclose everything, the next employer can sue for misrepresentation.

Put up a list of members and describe their behavior? OMG, the flamewars and kissupping will be unmeasurable.

I think kissupping would make a great word; don't you?

If it wasn't for bad taste, I wouldn't have no taste at all.

Not really sure if this is necessary here, what with most transactions being quite small.

An overclocking forum I visit have a busy '2nd hand gear section'.  One of the members there just made a new topic with each sellers name in then when someone bought from that person they posted with either a + or a - and maybe a short comment.  Then the author of the thread would edit his first post from time to time with the feedback updated.  Sort of looks like this-

Name 1
++++++
-

Name 2
++++
--

Name 3
++

Seems to work  quite well, and is a necessity there as a lot of the sales are in the hundreds of ££s

Do you REALLY think a lawsuit could happen from something like this?

How many lawsuits are on record from people associated with eBay?

Just wondering.

I just thought something like this might be helpful to prevent people from getting ripped off.
