There seems to be a lack of control over certain filter elements that can hinder proper searches through one's collection. For example:

- I can search through all movies with a certain rating, but the "less than" argument sorts "NR" as being more adult than NC-17.  This excludes a number of films created before the current ratings system, many documentaries or miniseries, etc., from being seen in certain searches.

- Runtime only lets you choose variables between 30 mins. and 3 hours.  There is no way to enter in a custom variable here (perhaps I would like to search for films less than 3.5 hours - it's not possible).

- Video formats allow me to choose between Full Frame, Widescreen, 16x9, etc.  But there is no way to choose a specific aspect ratio (1.78:1, 1.85:1, 2.35:1, etc.).  This is sometimes important to me as I  look for movies to watch that will help me avoid screen burn-in on my plasma TV.  An audio format filter is present, but video is lacking.

- No "Not" argument on some filters.  "Less than" or "Exactly" only work so well.  A "not" argument would help solve many of the above problems, such as "not NC-17".  And the audio filter format, which only allows you to choose one item, rather than select/exclude several types of formats, might also be beneficial.  Setting up the checkbox arguments (as they appear on the tags filter) would be a great way to go I think for many of these variables.

- The "Not" argument is present for the Watched status, but could also be improved to allow for multiple selections.  Such as: not watched by User1, User2, and User3, so that movies can be found that nobody in the user database has yet seen.  Once again, a "yes/no" checkbox next to each user would improve the filter here.

- Overview, Easter Eggs, and Notes can be filtered for text they contain, but not whether they are present or not.  Sometimes I like to look through the films that I have added Notes for, or look at which DVDs have easter eggs that I have missed.  It becomes difficult to do, and is worsened by the fact that any checked/unchecked selections are lost when the filter is saved and loaded at a later time.

- And while I love these new Save & Load Filter buttons, other items do not save with the filter.  The "And" & "Or" selection does not save with the saved filters.  This means that in addition to loading a filter, it needs to be made sure that the "And" or "Or" setting is also set correctly.  It doesn't get in the way, except for convenience, but can often be confusing as I look through my lists and wonder for a moment why I'm seeing titles there I shouldn't.

The list above is not comprehensive, but just what I noticed as I briefly tried to search for a film over the past day using the filters.  While some of the above are listed just because they are annoying and confusing, several of them need to be corrected in order to provide proper searches through one's DVD database (ratings, runtimes, easter eggs, etc.).

I would appreciate any feedback on the feature request.  And if you agree with me, feel free to add your points on how the filters could be improved in the next DVDProfiler version.
