| Posted: | | | | Could not find an answer using forum search, so hopefully someone can help.
Just bought 3.1.1 and am not looking forward to type in hundreds of UPC numbers. But I do have a scanner that can create a text list of all the UPC numbers.
Is there a way I can batch load with such a text file as input?
Secondly, can one merge two different databases into one common one? |

| Posted: | | | | You can try using the UPC Import Plugin...not sure if it'll work with the latest version of Profiler...but it might. I don't believe you can merge 2 databases. | | | My WebGenDVD online Collection |

| Posted: | | | | There's a plugin called UPC Import which may do what you want to do - try the Plugins Forum for more info. As for merging 2 databases - that's easy. First back up both databases (just in case). Then have one database open, and restore the other database's backup into it. That should work fine.
Edit: Max found the plugin for you. But the merging should still work. They are both Profiler databases right? | | | Last edited: by northbloke |

Yes, I do, but then I have to get my DVD's and PC in the same location, it involves either sitting in the theatre with a laptop or lugging boxes of DVD's up to my study. But I've done a few DVD's this way with a USB scanner and it works fine. But rather, I'll use my portable scanner and scan all the DVD's in one shot, then do a batch import. Plug-in work fine, BTW. but I've got a question or two, which I kept in the relevant thread: http://www.invelos.com/Forums.aspx?task=viewtopic&topicid=154713&PageNum=LAST&x=#LASTPOST | | | Last edited: by evol |

They are both Profiler databases right? when you restore the 2nd database into the first choose to restore profiles (rather than all). And then select all the profiles. This will ensure that restoring the 2nd db doesn't replace the 1st (but instead adds into it). | | | Paul |
