| Posted: | | | | Does anyone else have this glitch? All my profiles that listed 20th Century Fox as a studio, have changed to Cry Uncle Company. Looking at the 70 profiles in question, only one of them was updated within the last week. And that was a submitted and approved crew change I made for "And Then There Were None." I didn't modify the studio. This isn't the first time either. Last week I also submitted some cast role changes for three of the Harry Potter films and when I downloaded the profiles during the nightly update, one of them (I don't remember which one) had an update to change eros back to 1492 Films as the studio. And I'm sure that that profile said 1492 Films just a few days ago I also contributed a cast change for "Cry Uncle" which has not made the update download yet. However, it was only a cast change. I Added the studio info to my local profile (which included Cry Uncle Company) but did not submit it. Wierd, very weird. Now I have 70 profiles to fix. |

| Posted: | | | | You did it to yourself. You apparantly added the Cry Uncle Company studio incorrectly and it changed your 20th Century Fox to Cry Uncle Company. | | | My WebGenDVD online Collection |

| Posted: | | | | did you maybe accidently change 20th Century Fox in your studio list to Cry Uncle Company instead of adding a new studio for Cry Uncle Company? If I'm not mistaken, doing so would change everything that said 20th Century Fox to Cry Uncle Company.

| Posted: | | | | Quoting 8ballMax: Quote: You did it to yourself. You apparantly added the Cry Uncle Company studio incorrectly and it changed your 20th Century Fox to Cry Uncle Company. I suspect that what you did was after clicking "Edit Studios", instead of clicking on "add..." you typed Cry Uncle Company directly into the name: field and then clicked on Add.... What that did was change the first studio that was highlighted in the list, probably 20th Century Fox to Cry Uncle Company. So any film with 20th Century Fox is now set to Cry Uncle Company. Don't feel bad...Once upon a time I did the same thing . Learned my lesson. | | | My WebGenDVD online Collection |

| Posted: | | | | Yep, been there done that too Max Just reverse the procedure Chivas to replace Cry Uncle Company with 20th Century Fox, and start again by using the 'Add' in Edit Studios for the new studio | | | |

| Posted: | | | | Ay Caramba! You're right, that's what I must have done. (This is why I seldom do anything with Studios.) Thank you all for your quick responses, a lesson learned. I've already gone in and corrected all the profiles and found some newer updates for a few, so that's a plus. Thanks Again |

| Posted: | | | | I don't know whether or not Chivas did anything to mess up the studios in his database, but I HAVE noticed several odd studio references that have appeared in my database. I am relatively sure that they haven't appeared due to anything I have done, since I haven't modified either the studio name or the profiles in which they appear for some time.
I think that when I migrated my database from version 2.4 to version 3.x some of the studio data got "messed up." For example, I'm finding the studio "CMT" in a large number of profiles where it doesn't belong. And there doesn't seem to be any pattern to where it appears (not always Warner Bros., for example). I can't say for sure that these scrambled studio references came about because of the 2.4 to 3.x migration, but they cropped up about the same time. | | | Another Ken (not Ken Cole) Badges?
