Due to the Large number of New / Pending Release profiles that are being submitted for the wrong Locality (whether accidental or by design) I would like to suggest the following

All New Submission for a Chosen Region (in my case R2) where put up for Voting this could be whittled down by say, when you use the Add DVD function the window displays

Title
Region
Locality
Release

In our Profiles (User Settings) you specify your Country

Location                                          Country
Occupation                                      Interests
etc

This could be used to determine which Locality 'New DVD's' for voting on, some times I might submit a new profile to be included, but during setting it up I may get a phone call, miss ticking say (video) changing 'NTSC' to 'PAL'. If somebody else checks it as well before getting into the database all the better. For me anyway.

This could even benefit the Screener/s, thus helping the database in the long run.

As for Pending Submissions, Yes I know you can't have Cast/Crew etc, but where known you could supply known EAN/UPC, Release Cover images (Amazon.co.uk displays cover images for Titles due out in 6/8 weeks time), Release Dates etc else the Feature as used by DVDP ie 'Upcoming Releases' would be defunct.

As I put in the other thread Steve, a simple program change not allowing a UK locality to have a SRP except for £ would solve our problem.
The majority of incorrect profiles use € as the SRP, so they could be easily whittled out and also prevented from initial submission.

That would certainly help, Rich!

I reckon some users when they installed DVDP only set the region to 2 and didn't bother to set their Locality right. I don't know, but DVDP might very well default to UK then and thus cause the many non-UK contributions for the UK locality.

It, unsurprisingly, defaults to R1 and USD on install. When you change it to R2 it leaves the default currency as USD, so you have to physically change it to the correct currency in a separate action.

The locality it defaults to is UK, so you're right people aren't changing the default locality which is picked up when adding a new title. This is despite the locality being right under the region change drop down.
