| Posted: | | | | Hopefully this has not been covered (I did not see it anywhere).
I recently upgraded to the new version 3.1.1.1171 ... can I safely delete (meaning uninstall) the old version without losing anything? By that I mean .. will it lose my database (backup) that I have on my computer?
I do not use the older version anymore and would just like to get it off of here.
Thanks in advance for any help.

| Posted: | | | | You should be able to delete the old version. I'd backup through the new version (if you really want to make sure, change the name to something other than backup so you won't confuse it and maybe even store it on a removable drive if you really want to make sure you don't delete it) and you'll be fine. You could even upload it for a 2nd backup, but not 100% positive that the upload has your personal info (where and how much you bought the dvd for). | | | Lori |

| Posted: | | | | You can safely delete the old V2.xx from your system with no ill effects to your new V3.xx. There is no interconnection between the two versions. If you have plenty of disc space, you might wish to keep 2.4 installed if you want to look at old contribution notes. AFIK, that is the only way to access them easily. | | | Kevin |

Yes, as v3 stores the data in the "\Documents and Settings\$Username\My Documents\DVD Profiler\Databases\"-folder. Only thing: if you want to empty your old Online-list do it now. Just cull all the DVDs in v2.4 and upload the empty list. cya, Mithi | | | Mithi's little XSLT tinkering - the power of XML --- DVD-Profiler Mini-Wiki |
