| Posted: | | | | More in general, nowadays you need to specify where you got the data in your new entry from. Especially if you include cast and crew credits without mentioning where you got them (e.g. "taken from opening and end credits"), your contribution will be declined.
Here's an example of my own contribution notes for a recent new contribution I did, which got accepted:
"New contribution. All data taken from disc. All cast and crew credits taken from the film's opening and end credits. Video and audio formats and running time verified using PowerDVD. Layer info and region coding verified using DVDInfoPro."
In your case, if you copied the data from the larger case profile (assuming that's the only difference between the two discs), contribution notes along the lines of "All data copied from approved profile ..... (list UPC). Disc ID verified to be identical using ...." should work as well.
Good luck recontributing, Paul! | | | Last edited: by dee1959jay |

Blah, Blah, Blah, Blah... Get a life dude - either start contributing or stay away from the forums with your consistent nagging about your personal view of the rules, and how they scare "ordinary" people away because they don't fit your preference.. | Posted: | | | | IMHO none of this is helping Paul to do new contributions.
What I could add to my original post: if you're including uncredited cast in your contribution, make sure you thoroughly document where you got the information from (as shown by EnryWiki in his example). And as the same user mentioned: there is something called a Credit Lookup tool for cases in which the same actor is credited under different names in different films. You can then use the "common name" and use the "Credited as" feature to show how he/she is credited in the particular film you're doing a contribution on.
However, if you can't or won't spend the amount of time needed to research uncredited cast and/or common names, it would be perfectly OK to just use the credits as they are in the actual film. Just avoid third-party sources like IMDb. | | | Last edited: by dee1959jay |

| Posted: | | | | Having looked at the notes it's not surprising it's been declined. You simply state that it's a "new entry", but as your online collection shows some cast listed, the SRP, release date audio etc... you need to provide more details as to where you've taken the info from.
I would suggest you don't need as much detail as EnryWiki's notes, I certainly don't enter notes that long for a standard new submission and usually have little trouble with profiles being accepted. | | | IVS Registered: January 2, 2002 | | | Last edited: by Lithurge |
