| Posted: | | | | I'm going to the Mirage hotel in Las Vegas on Sunday until Thursday for a conference (and possibly a little pleasure) and I have a few items that I may purchase whilst I'm there. Can anyone please give me some tips where I can get the following (and a rough price would be handy): 1. Oppo 981 DVD Player 2. Toshiba HD DVD Player (not sure what model yet) 3. DVDs, HD-DVDs & Blu-Ray discs Many Thanks. | | | Stuart | | | Last edited: by Gadgeteer |

My suggestion would be Best Buy (large electronic/DVD/CD/games store). The closest store to the Strip is at 3820 S. Maryland Parkway which would be about 10/15 min by cab from the Mirage. Have a look at their site (www.bestbuy.com) which should give you an idea of the prices and don't forget to factor in the added sales tax as well.
There's also a Target store near this Best Buy (on the corner of Maryland and Flamingo) which has good prices on new release DVD product.
Enjoy Vegas - it's a blast

but yes.... the strip shopping is not the place for this.... Best Buy would be the best bet for the discs and the Toshiba....
I believe the HD-A3 will be on a nice sale... if you want 1080p you'll need the HD-A30 tho...
best buy doesn't sell the oppo tho... not sure where you'd pick that up... | | | -JoN |
