| | Posted: | | | | I was trying to figure out what the common name for director Wesley Archer is.
He directed several episodes of The Simpsons, Futurama and King of the Hill.
IMDB lists at least 6 other alternate name for him.
I also did the credit lookup and it looks like the top 2 ways that he is credited is either "Wes Archer" or "Wesley Archer", but they are so close with the number of profiles (60 profiles for Wes, 55 for Wesley) that it's basically a tie.
And a google search shows basically the same, with many matches for Wes, Wesley or combinations including his middle name. It's also obvious by the google search results that it's all the same person because the results mentions the TV series mentioned above.
So I'm really confused as to what name to use. |

Wesley Archer in King of the Hill and the 1st and 7th season of the Simpsons
Wes Archer in Elaine, Futurama and the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th season of the Simpsons
Wesley M. Archer in 1 episode of the Simpsons 2nd Season
Wesley Meyer Archer in 1 episode of the Simpsons 2nd Season
Of course there can be done a detailled research on Episode level but I presume that he is credited most as Wes Archer.
