| Posted: | | | | Quoting Dvdjon: Quote: im wondering as to what to do with the norwegian releases of angel.
I see that tv series are contributed in 3 different ways.
1. 1 contribution from ean with info on all disks on overview.(typical norwegian profile)
2. 1 contribution from ean and one more from each disc (in angel that makes one from ean and six from disk ids i believe we call them child profiles)
3. 1 contribution from ean and 5 child contributions from disk 2 and up.(alias us release is like this disc one is missing)
im a bit confused as to what to do with them. im betting that number 2 is the correct way ??? Both option 1 and 2 is ok. The rules http://www.invelos.com/dvdpro/contributions/Rules.aspx?display=tvseries say this about option 2 (i.e. disc-level profiles added by disc ID) (bold types are mine): Quote: Individual profiles for each disc may be submitted if desired, but this is not required. Add these profiles to the box set contents of the parent profile. Create each of these individual profiles in line with the standard Contribution Rules with one exception - Cover Images. If a disc, or set of discs, have their own case, use the cover images from that case. When submitting a change to an existing TV series profile that is currently a box set, do not remove the existing contents.
In either case, the cast and crew are to be entered into the parent profile using appropriate episode dividers |

| Posted: | | | | The main set should be contributed with all the data for the whole series (including full entries under Disc ID for each disc & optional (but much liked) Episode List after the Overview) by EAN.
Child profiles for each disc may be completed as an option for those who like to break down the detail that way. The Rules now state that these are allowed but not required and that the parent profile for the whole series should not have any data removed (like it would if it were a box set of multiple films) so that people who choose not to use the individual disc profiles still have all the data. | | | It is dangerous to be right in matters where established men are wrong |
