| Posted: | | | | I'm currently doing the profile for Gilligan's Island: Season 2 and I noticed something.
On several episodes when there are no guest stars they have the cast credits in the end credits.
Natalie Schafer is credited as Mrs. Thurston Howell III.
In episodes where there are guest stars they don't list roles for the main cast, except for Jim Backus. I can't recall at anytime during the series that they refer to Mrs. Howell with the complete name, usually it's just "Lovey".
So I was wondering, should I credit her role as Mrs. Thurston Howell III for the entire Season, or use the shorter Lovey for episodes when no role is credited since it seems to be the most used name for her during the series.
Also should role of "Mrs. Thurston Howell III be carried over to the other seasons for all episodes where no role is credited? |

| Posted: | | | | I agree that this is a tough one, but if the only times she's credited on-screen with a role name is as 'Mrs. Thurston Howell III', then that's what I'd use. I mean: if she's never ever credited with playing 'Lovey', but she is credited sometimes credited with playing 'Mrs. Thurston Howell III', than I can't really justify using something else. Personally, I would even carry this over to another season where there's no role name at all - but hey, that's just me: I'm all for consistency. |

| Posted: | | | | I have to agree with Tim... I would use it for all the episodes if she is credited in some like that... and no character name in the rest. | | | Pete |
