| Posted: | | | | I have no idea what's currently going on at Invelos, but obviously there is something terribly wrong, and I have to say I'm pretty annoyed. What happened ? I contributed a crew list for "Friends: The Complete Fourth Season" (UPC 085392424825), complete with episode dividers and detailed contribution notes (stating that I took the infos directly from the episode credits) - just as I have done dozens of other times for lots of other TV series (and even for the first three seasons of "Friends") before. The vote result was 36 "Yes" (some with nice comments, thanks for that!) and 0 "No". Now guess what: The contribution was declined with the following reason: "The contributed profile includes information not applicable to box set parents. Please see the contribution rules for details on proper handling for box sets."I can only consider this to be a bad joke, otherwise it would be a total outrage. Is it really possible that there are currently screeners at work for Invelos who don't even know the most basic rules ? Yes, I understand that the screeners are human and make mistakes, but a ridiculous decline like this is simply unacceptable. What makes it even worse is the fact that a fellow user in the German profiler forum reported exactly the same happening to one of his contributions a week ago - something I could hardly believe when I read it. Ken, Gerri, I really don't consider myself to be a whiner, but let me make this very clear: I put a lot of time and effort into these TV series contributions, and I'm one of very few user left who are willing to do this work. Please improve the skill level of your screeners immediately - otherwise I'm outta here. | | | Michael |

Something like that happened to me as well. I dropped a note to Gerri and she released my contribution. | | | -- Enry |

| Posted: | | | | I had this happen with my contribution for the Target exclusive Office: Season 3 (UPC 025195-018937) profile. I duplicated the cast and crew from the Office: Season 3 UPC 025195-008204) profile and got the same declined reason as well. I am going to resubmit it again. perhaps it will go through fine this time. | | | Chris |

Also include the UPC of the set, so they know what you are talking about. | | | We're on a mission from God.

| Posted: | | | | It seems like theres some sort of automated thing that flags boxsets, when they have info that dont belong to movie box sets. I think this is bad, since a lot of TV series released in non english countries might not be easy to identify as TV series to the screeners.
Just curious was the title of the profile Friends? ...and did it have TV as a genre? |

Just curious was the title of the profile Friends? ...and did it have TV as a genre? The profile contributed by Tigi was the R1 US profile of Friends: Season 4. Yes, it has the genre 'Television'. | | |

Skip Well, after a good night's sleep (and after wiping off all the foam ) I have calmed down, but the fact still remains: This decline is something that really mustn't happen. The profile belongs to a TV series, which is totally obvious to everyone (it has "Season" in it's title, it has the genre "Television" and it belongs to one of the most popular TV shows ever created). I simply added complete crew credits - there were some incomplete entries already present for this. It just doesn't get into my head how it is even remotely possible for this update to get declined, especially with the provided reason. I can think of four possibilities: 1. Invelos has a new and totally incompetent screener 2. A screener simply pressed some wrong buttons (which seems pretty unlikely to me since a specific reason for the decline was provided) 3. There is a new automated system at work for Invelos with some pretty bad flaws 4. Invelos made a passionate "You-can-enter-cast-and-crew-into-TV-parent-profiles" hater their new screener who has developed a hobby of poking at contributors from time to time (does someone know if Rifter talked about having a new job lately ? ) OK, I will write a PM to Gerri and ask her about this. I will post the answer here. | | | Michael | | | Last edited: by TigiHof |

I hope that Invelos is not planning to change the rules through the backdoor. Hopefully we don't have to create child profiles on disc level for all tv-series. If so, I would really have a lot of work | | | Thorsten |

Skip Very interesting sir, may I ask you for the source of this information? Are we really sure that they don't have any help? | | | Thorsten | | | Last edited: by kahless |
