Are "Executives in Charge of Production" the same as Executive Producers?

I just want to make sure.

I never enter them.

I know this was discussed before, but forgot the results. As there is usually Executive Producers elsewhere in the same credits, I leave them out.

Yeah, I would say they weren't the same thing either. Leave them out is my opinion.

I was asking because I was going through and doing the credits of the Three's Company sets and in Season 1 they are listed.

"Executives in Charge of Production
Ted Bergmann
Don Taffner"

Then at the end it has the logo for.

Don Taffner's DLT Entertainment LTD.

The Don Taffner's DLT Entertainment company is listed in the profile as a production company.

After doing a bit of reading up, "executive in charge of production" does seem to be a very similar credit to "executive producer", but I'm still tempted to leave them out as "executive in charge of production" seems to suggest that they are an executive of the production company, whereas you can be an executive producer without being an executive of the production company - does that make sense? I think I just confused myself there!

Most Star Trek:TOS episodes have an Executive Producer (Roddenberry) and an "Executive in Charge of Production" who was the last guy credited before the disc ended (well away from the producer credits).

In this case at least, pretty obviously not the Exec Producer
Bad movie?  You're soaking in it!

Here's a hint or TWO
1) Is Executive in Charge of production in our Table
2) What would you say to an Executive in Charge of production AND a separate Executive Producer Credit, they ARE out there.

If they are the only credit, I enter them.  This is a very common credit in older TV shows.
No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever.
There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom.
Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand.
The Centauri learned this lesson once.
We will teach it to them again.
Though it take a thousand years, we will be free.
