More Upgrades for Common Name |

| | Posted: | | | | With the addition of Common Names, the linking feature is much improved, but not quite there yet. While the issues are being worked through on Common Names, the utility of the feature for searching purposes would be greatly magnified if a couple enhancements were added:
1. Ignore punctuation and diacritical markings in names and titles. Lon Chaney Jr would be linked directly to Lon Chaney, Jr. and vice versa.
2. Link Common Names with As Credited names, so that a search for the name would pick up all instances in both fields. For example, a search for "Jess Franco" would pick up all instances where the name is "Jess Franco" and also "Jesus Franco (credited as) Jess Franco". | | | | "This movie has warped my fragile little mind." |

| | Posted: | | | | #2 is already done. You just have to click on individual entries to know it. For an example enter "Luis Guzman". The first entry for Crocodile Dundee 2 is a Credited As.
#1 would be good but needs to be switches we could toggle. Otherwise i wouldn't know how many Luis Guzman's and how many Luis Guzmán's are in the DB. | | | | Bad movie? You're soaking in it! |
