| Posted: | | | | The DVD info for "10 Things I Hate ABout You" has Jospeh Gordon-Levitt as "Joseph Levitt Gordon". When I try to correct it it says that name already in system (I have anotehr DVD with him in it) and won't let me change it. Is there a way to fix this so that all the movies are under the correct actor's name? |

If you go to the cast page in the Edit Profile window, then find Joseph Gordon-Levitt on the left-hand side and select Joseph Levitt Gordon on the right-hand side and click "Replace". Now this is the important bit - if you want to contribute this to the online database you need to check that the end credits also list him as Gordon-Levitt. If they don't you need to click "Edit Role" on the right-hand side and type what they do say in the "credited as" area. Then you can contribute. Hope this helps! |

Even if the whole group agrees on the 'correct' (aka common) name, so that the profiles cross-link, if they are credited differently you must use the Credited As feature to show this. However, to answer technically, you have to change them one at a time: select the 'incorrect' actor name in the credit list on the left and the 'correct' actor name in the 'Actor List' on the right and then select 'Replace' You can find all places where the 'incorrect' name is used by Filtering on that actor name. If you haven't specifically checked the credits but still want to change it, make sure you don't contribute the change in case it is against the Rules. | | | It is dangerous to be right in matters where established men are wrong |

| Posted: | | | | Worked perfectly. Thanks. Yeah his name is clearly wrong in the 10 Things cast list so I replaced with the correct version. |

| Posted: | | | | And if it is the same credits as is on my disc (UPC# 717951004208) you will have to use the Credited As anyway since they spelled his name wrong in the credits (Joseph -Gordon Levitt). They got it right on the jacket but not the end credits, go figure. | | | Bad movie? You're soaking in it! |

| Posted: | | | | As Tweeter says, even if the credit in the film is a mis-spelling and definitely wrong you must still use 'Credited As' once you've corrected the actor, to make sure you match the credits exactlyQuoting tweeter: Quote:
