| Posted: | | | | It just hit me, why isn't it possible to view the cover scans in high resolution online? They're only accessable in the local database, which makes the whole hi-res feature kinda pointless, since I might as well could look at the real DVD's instead.
Or have I missed something? |

| Posted: | | | | most of us have not all dvd's on display stashed away in boxes | | | Sources for one or more of the changes and/or additions were not submitted. Please include the sources for your changes in the contribution notes, especially for cast and crew additions. |

One word: bandwidthThe hi-res-covers would consume an enormous ammount of traffic, thus needing a really high bandwidth were they stored all on a single server. That would cost money, so they might show up on an extra-pay "profiler plus" someday. Until then you can create your own DVD-List with HR-Covers, with e.g. phpDVDProfiler. If you want to see this in action, see my list or click on one of those "recently watched" banners you see in some users signatures. cya, Mithi | | | Mithi's little XSLT tinkering - the power of XML --- DVD-Profiler Mini-Wiki |

Or have I missed something? The online DVD collection is for the other user or for the other people that you have given the link. That way they know what you have. I don't go online to check my colection, I just open my program. The reason why the cover are on low-res is a legal one I think. |

| Posted: | | | | Also, if the hi-res images were available online, a non-registered user could just get their images from someone else's online page. That would take away some of the incentive to pay for the full version. | | | Kevin |
