| | Posted: | | | | Would love to be able to use a bar code reader to scan the UPC labels on the DVD instead of typing in each number. This could speed up the input process for those of us that have very large collections. Any chance of this happening? |

| | Posted: | | | | I've been using a barcode scanner with dvdprofiler for at least 6 years. dvdprofiler supported it as from version 2 via some plugin.
Now as most are recognised by windows anyway, dvdprofiler I thknk only does cuecats internally.
If you can read a barcode into notepad, you can in dvdprofiler. | | |

For most scanners, you just open the "Add by UPC" dialog and scan right into the UPC field. Aye as most scanners work by emulating a keyboards input  I was using a neutered cue-cat for about 3 years, but recently bought a cheap (£18/$35) "Acan"/"Ascan" reader from Ebay as I got fed up of the limitations of the cuecat (having to swipe it, sometimes 3-4 times to get a reading, especially on smaller barcodes). |
