The idea is: If contributions reach a defined number of negative votes (lets say 10) and no positive votes, they could automatically be declined by the system without the need for manual review by Ken or Gerri.
Would that save a mentionable amount of time for you, Ken and Gerry? Are there ever contributions that get released even though they only have negative votes?
Opinions? |

| Posted: | | | | I had a contribution accepted with 4 Yes and 6 No votes, sometimes No-voters just copy each other without checking rules. I think there were more extreme cases like this, but I can't check history more than one month back. | | | Hans |

| Posted: | | | | It's better to let the processus as it is. Some voters don't know the rules at all and vote yes on anything (the weekly wrong update for the boxcase of BTF have some) and probably it's the same for some "No" vote. I don't trust a robot for those decision, so I prefer that Ken or Geri keep the last word on contribution.
Why no one lock the BTF (025192212123) profile, since it's already corect ? |

Sometimes pure luck, if you ask me: Two examples from yesterday, one (added CoO and Subtitles) 9 yes votes, 1 no (user rincewind with the argument "You wrote in the forum that your wrote everytime "Source DVD" whatever what was your real source. So no vote because not reliable!") -> contribution accepted. The other one (added Interviews) 6 yes votes, 1 no vote (user rincewind with the argument "You wrote in the forum that your wrote everytime "Source DVD" whatever what was your real source. So no vote because not reliable!") -> contribution declined. Although the correctness of my contribution would have been really easy to check for everyone, for it is even mentioned on the backcover. But such senseless reasons for a no-voting (which lead to a wrong decision in this example) are luckily an exception - the vast majority of the german users is honestly intereseted in accurate data, as I can judge so far. No question, that I will contribute it again: accurate data is the prime directive, and the plain truth will win long-term. | | | Don't confuse while the film is playing with when the film is played.
