| Posted: | | | | I contributed a new profile for the UK HD DVD for Mr. Bean's Holiday. The current UK profile was bare bones, so I started with the Netherlands profile, add hi-res scans, updated what needed to be updated, and changed the UPC to the UK UPC. I contributed and it was released.
However, I forgot to change the locality to UK. Now when I change it and contribute, it says that there's an existing UK one (which is correct since this one should be updated). Does this mean that the Netherlands profile for this movie has the UK UPC and is wrong? If so, how can it be fixed since I don't know the UPC for the Netherlands version? |

| Posted: | | | | It means that the one you submitted under the Netherlands with the UK UPC is now in the DB in addition to the existing Netherlands profile.. What you need to do with that is download the NL profile you submitted, change the title to something along the lines of "SCREENERS: PLEASE DELETE FROM ONLINE DB", and then submit that one field, explaining the circumstances in the contribution notes. Don't worry about it, it happens, I noticed the other day that I'd done a similar thing, submitted a UK promo DVD under US locality by mistake. I just used the above procedure and now it's gone. |

It happened to me too. Not a new profile though. I sent a contribution using the wrong Locality, then couldn't withdraw as the system said it had already been processed. So I dropped a line to Gerri who removed it manually. Contribution Rules state that wrong Locality is one of the most common errors. Maybe we need some kind of safeguards or warning in the contribution upload. | | | -- Enry |
