| Posted: | | | | My name is Tom Bishop. I write a column for the Observer and I need contact information for your PR department. Either email address or a phone number.
Quite a few of my readers have asked that I review your software "DVD Profiler 3.x"
Please forward this email to the appropriate department ASAP, as I am on a deadline. Email is easy, a phone number is no problem either.
Please have the correct department reply to my address 1tombishop@mail.com1, <WITHOUT the "1" ON EITHER SIDE>
Thank you for your assistance

| Posted: | | | | Please let us know when the review gets published, it would be great to see it in print and I don't want to miss it! | | | It is dangerous to be right in matters where established men are wrong |

And googling by his name with "observer", and also with "bytes advice" gives practically nothing as a result. Also, a Senior editor who is unable to find contact information from Invelos netsite or from this forums? Seem kind of strange. |

Seem kind of strange. It get's worse: Going to the Observer wesite and seaching for his name, you get three hits - two links to a movie review where Brad Pitt plays the role of Tom Bishop, and one link to The Guardian, which I can't really find heads or tails in... So Repter is right - DON'T SEND HIM MONEY! | | | The future is here. It's just not widely distributed yet. (William Gibson) | | | Last edited: by Rander |

| Posted: | | | | I know an editor of a trade publication for the industry I work in who uses a personal email address and not their publications one.
Of course the fact no column/results can be found under the name is suspicious, but could be confirmed either way by contacting the Observer.
Even if it isn't genuine it's a good idea for people to get in contact with publications to review the software (if Ken & Gerri are happy for that) good potential free publicity. | | | IVS Registered: January 2, 2002 |
