| Posted: | | | | I am currently doing the profiles for this set and I have a few questions.
1. This aired on A&E and is a 3 documentaries based on Pearl Harbor and WWII.
Since it is a documentary film, would it be considered as a film, or since it aired on TV would it be considered a TV Show/series?
2. Title question. Right Now it's profiled as the following.
Parent: Title = Pearl Harbor (The History Channel Presents) Front cover has = The History Channel Presents Pearl Harbor
Child Profile #1 Title = Pearl Harbor (The History Channel Presents) Vol 1 Documentary on DVD = Tora, Tora, Tora: The True Story of Pearl Harbor
Child Profile #2 Title = Pearl Harbor (The History Channel Presents) Vol 2 Documentaries on DVD = Admiral Chester Nimitz: Thunder of the Pacific Bonus Documentary = America's Five-Star Heroes: The Pacific Commanders
Contribution rules states: "Title Use the title from the film's credits."
So my question is which title would be the correct one to use. The current one, or the ones for the documentaries themselves?
3. How would the parent be profiled? As a TV Series (since the documentaries aired on A&E and include all the info from the child profiles, or treat the documentaries as films and treat it as a box set and not include certain info in the parent profile.
Thanks in advance. |

| Posted: | | | | If it's made for television, I'd say Television is appropriate.
I'd omit the "The History Channel Presents" verbiage. It doesn't seem like the title, just a source indication. The children should have the title of the appopriate documentary.
I'm not familiar enough to say---when you watch them are they part of a single series? If so, use the TV set rules. Otherwise the box sets. | | | "This movie has warped my fragile little mind." |
