| Posted: | | | | I'd like to contribute the CE version of Heroes S1 (from Target), but am not sure what to use for the SRP. The regular edition has an SRP of $59.98. The CE sells for $54.99 (regular price, not this week's sale price), and the regular edition sells for $49.99 (again, regular price, not this week's sale price). Would this mean the SRP for the CE should also be $5 more than the regular edition (making it $64.98), or should the SRP's be the same for both editions? Any ideas? | | | My phpDVDprofiler collection |

| Posted: | | | | dvd talk, amazon, and dvd price search are all listing $59.98 as the list price the regular Region 1 release. what's different about the target edition and would it really affect the srp? krik afterthought: checked the target site, don't see anything different for their release than anyone elses, even down to the $36.+ sale price. | | | "Vampirism is still not a disease, Julia. Local selling price has NOTHING to do with SRP, that is set by the Distributor with small variations from retailer to retailer. It has NOTHING to do with any individual retailer "normal" selling price or their SALE privce.. Leave it alone the SRP is correct

Skip I'm well aware of that. My point was that since the local selling price, as you call it, for the CE is $5 more than the standard price, can that price difference carry over to the SRP? Unlike Amazon (or any other online retailer, for that matter), Target does not list the SRP for any title it sells, so where do I get the SRP for this particular set? I would assume it would be more than the standard SRP, but maybe not. | | | My phpDVDprofiler collection |

| Posted: | | | | Just to note: I've contributed the CE of Heroes including cover scans... I just left the SRP of the original as Target.com does not have the CE to see the SRP. |

SRP stands for SUGGESTED Retail Price. Retailers are free to sell it for whatever price they feel they can get. Ohhh!!! The stories i could tell.
I suspect that the Heroes CE is a Target "exclusive" not available through normal retail channels and probably also not likely to easil;y be able to lacate an SRP, as one would believe that the CE should carry a higher value. I would probably start by seeing what Target's website indicates...if anything.

Skip It doesn't. It's not even on their site. And yes, I'm fairly sure it is a Target exclusive. |

What Target sells this release for is Target's business and doesn't change the Distributor's SRP. | | | My WebGenDVD online Collection |

| Posted: | | | | I don't see the problem. Add the Target CE version by discid (it has the postcards and the additional DVD) and use the price from target.com (the distributor's price doesn't apply since it's no longer the version provided by the distributor and even the packaging is different). |
