Two more ideas to consider adding to DVD Profiler:

Once a separate publisher field is implemented, I think a database of updated contact info (address, CS phone #, website, e-mail, fax, etc.) for DVD publishers would be a good idea. Each publisher could also be linked to a list of previous names--for example, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment, which was formerly called Columbia TriStar Home Entertainment, and before that Columbia TriStar Home Video. That way, if one was looking at a DVD published by Columbia TriStar Home Entertainment/Home Video, the current Sony Pictures contact info could be called up.

Also, perhaps a field for inputting the number of chapters in a given title?

Updated Contact info... all this added to a profile and one thing changes... a number or address change and literally thousands of profiles need to be updated for the new contact info?  Sounds like more trouble then it's worth. What I do is once I need the info and find it online... I add it to my computer's address book.  Or do you mean a separate database (away from the profiles) just for the contact info? This would be more understandable... but I personally still don't see a need for it...as most... especially the most popular studio info is not hard to find online.

Number of chapters... just see no need or reason for it.

Number on the spines... I personally would have no use for it... but I can see where some might.

But... I am not against such things being added if Ken thinks they are worth it... just my opinion.
