| | Posted: | | | | I've recently created child profiles for the region 3 (Korea) Kevin Smith Collection (UPC 8-809113-253035). This is a boxset with Kevin Smith's first 5 movies. Two of the child profiles have been accepted, but three of them keep getting declined. I think this has to do with my source/contribution comments for one cast birth year and some "credited as"/common name combinations.
My contribution comments for the Dogma child profile, for example, were as follows:
Dogma as part of the Kevin Smith Collection (Korea, region 3; UPC 8-809113-253035).
All information confirmed with disc/movie, also using programs such as DVD Shrink and VSO Inspector.
Notes on cast/crew:
* Birth year for Kevin Smith was added because to seperate from other Kevin Smiths out there, see e.g.:
- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kevin_Smith
- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kevin_Smith_(actor)
- http://www.imdb.com/find?s=all&q=kevin+smith
This has been generally accepted on the forums and in other profiles previously.
* Other common names / "credited as" names have been picked up from the region 1 profile of Dogma. These have been documented and accepted here: http://www.invelos.com/Forums.aspx?task=viewtopic&topicID=893&PageNum=LAST
Personally, I don't really know what else to write and I find it really frustrating to see perfectly valid profiles getting declined all the time.

| | Posted: | | | | I believe Kevin Smith is one of the acknowledged birth years that Ken & Gerri are happy to accept now, so I don't think that's the problem.
Have you tried submitting only enough info to get the profile accepted and then adding the more complicated information later? I would certainly do this if you're submitting "credited as" information.
Another thing to add which may help is the UPC of the region 1 profile you took the information from as there may be other profiles without that info. |

| | Posted: | | | | If I remember correctly, the reason why these are being declined are because the contributions contain uncredited actors. You need to be specific about the source of that data, since it did not come from the credits.
