I have made a few changes to the "Case Types with Images" thread.

Due to the latest developments in the way things are handled with this thread, I will no longer be hosting the images on my own paid site which I had some degree of control over. I have been hosting these images on my site since 11 September of 2004 because I was able to directly control file size, image size and image quality. This was something I took upon myself, at no request from anyone, in an effort to aide the efforts of those who endeavored to list the correct case type.

As you can plainly see when you visit the page, the images are significantly smaller. Some of you have vehemently complained that the images were too large, so I'm sure some of you will be happy with this change.

As things are currently, I will continue to host these images on Photobucket. This is a site which I have absolutely no control over.

You might also notice that there are fewer images. This is due to the fact that I did not have personal approval from Ken for some of the images I had posted. In the future no image will be posted by me in that thread until after he has signed off on it.

Enjoy,
Dan

Personally, I think it looks like hell. They have less detail and are harder to see, but as long as you're happy with it.....

The thing I like is, now they don't cost me anything and it frees up space to do something I've wanted to do for several months.

Dan, you're really exaggerating here. They are still perfectly clear. In fact, it's even better than before, because people with smaller screens can see them perfectly, while in the past, you had to scroll and always only saw half of the image .
I surely like it better as well.

I think the images look quite good at the new size, at least on a 19" widescreen.

I agree, I didn't really notice the difference to tell the truth.

Judging by the PMs I am receiving, I must have caused some sort of misunderstanding.

I am not having bandwidth issues. I was simply making a statement that, until this morning, I was using my own web space which I pay for and have complete control over. I am now using Photobucket which  compresses all images and resizes the large ones.

If you want tota control over the images, but keep them away from your own webspace, I can offer you to place them on my site.

I could create a subfolder for you, which can be accessed via FTP; therefore you could do anything by yourself at any time.

Let me know what you think and I'll set it up.

Either version worked for me.  The current resized versions are handy for a quick reference and as a quick reference, high-quality detailed images aren't needed.
