The filter options are very wide but I can't seem to search on collection number or EAN
Perhaps a feature request to add these to the filter options.
In my collection I use a barcode scanner, so if someone returns a DVD I scan it and than I can manage the lone status directly in stat of typing the whole title in the filter. |

It's quite possible that UPC/EAN filtering was left out to make this software harder to use for commercial purposes such as rental. | | Posted: | | | | I think you're right there Max, however I can see the benefits of being able to scan a UPC and having the program going direct to that profile as opposed to searching by title. And I think the limit of 1 disc per UPC restricts the commercial possibilities enough (actually, I'm surprised Ken has never considered a business version of this program). Mind you, by the time I get my cuecat to scan anything I could have typed the title in twice over!  |

It would make sense if Invelos was also marketing software for commercial purposes, but AFAIK they are not. So they don't stand to gain anything from leaving out functions. Sounds like a pretty weak reason, to me. It would make sense if Invelos was also marketing software for commercial purposes, but AFAIK they are not. The end user license agreement prohibits the use of this software and the data for commercial purposes. I find it hard to imagine that DVD Profiler would be very much more usable as a commercial application just because of a function like this. The fact that the database is in a proprietary format pretty much excludes it as a serious commercial application, in my opinion. | | | My freeware tools for DVD Profiler users.
