| Posted: | | | | I'm going to make these changes (and will withdraw if I'm wrong) but I entered this new 2-disc LE and it came up with the R3 version which has various differences (like covers, though slight diff, MPAA rating, release date and the region code). so my question is, would the R3 version have the same UPC code or did someone just copy the R3 profile for R1?
Edit #2: I figured out how to change locality, but my question still stands as I want to make sure thw two regions don't have the same UPC...
Oh, and here's the UPC code and this is the "Exclusive Two-Disc Limited Edition": 085391167242
Edit #3: Well, added the profile with US (vs. Hong Kong) so I assume the R3 one will not be affected... | | | Last edited: by The Movieman |

| Posted: | | | | Hi Movieman, once you change the locality for a profile, that breaks it's connection to the original profile. So don't worry about the R3 and R1 profiles having the same UPC (which is possible), they'll still be seen as separate profiles. |

| Posted: | | | | Thanks. This is the first profile I've changed a locality of so I didn't know what would happen. |

| Posted: | | | | Quoting Skip: Quote: it could also be a user boo-boo. I had a similar profile, not different region, but a different cover image than mine and I input the UPC but did a preview and enlarged the Back cover scan and the UPC on the cover did not match the UPC it was entered under. So in your case you could have done the same to see if he/she just downloaded the region one profile and changed the region and the cover scans and locality and never changed the UPC and submitted it. Just a tip. I did check yours and the UPC on the cover scan does match so it doesn't come under the "boo-boo clause". Can that be added to the rules Skip? "Skip's Boo-boo clause" ? Or do you think it would leave too much room for 'interpretation'? Peabody |

| Posted: | | | | I was trying to edit this profile as well, but can't see how to change the locality. How do I change that? I made nice looking scans of the region 1 cover I want to submit but they went to the R3 version which was all that up this afternoon when I entered the UPC code.
Thanks in advance. |

Thanks in advance. It's not part of the regular editing screens. With the DVD selected, click on the menu at the top DVD -> Change Locality. | | | "Rules are for the obedience of fools and the guidance of wise men" - Douglas Bader "A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools." - Douglas Adams |

Thanks, amazingly I just found it right after asking so I re-submitted, but see others have beat me to it. There's opitions to vote, but no profiles showing. Is that common for discs sharing a UPC, like only the evaluation team can see them and decide if they're legit? Think I'll just wait a while and resubmit my scans later if they're better than what originally shows up. |

| Posted: | | | | There's probably quite a few "new contribution" submissions waiting for this release. If you still have your contribution in the list you can look at the contribution notes and see what is going on. I believe that new contributions still don't get voted on, which is probably why nothing shows up. |

I left mine up but can't help but think how much easier it would've been to not buy that freaking helmet. Curse my collector's mentality! |

Cool. I left mine up but can't help but think how much easier it would've been to not buy that freaking helmet. Curse my collector's mentality! You and me both. I almost just went for the regular 2-discer, but something forced me to bu the exclusive, lol. |

| Posted: | | | | Movieman, Now that your scans and profile are showing, let me just say "great job". Other than missing some audio tracks it smokes mine, which I just cheerfully withdrew. |

| Posted: | | | | I wish I could take credit for those scans, but it wasn't me... They were definitely great.
I have no idea who submitted those scans. Are they showing up with my contribution because I never submitted any images. | | | Last edited: by The Movieman |

| Posted: | | | | Ok, I got a No vote for my 300 contribution (and that's fine), but it brings something up. This is a box set but should this be considered like other box sets have have the 300 DVD as a child profile? It's the only DVD and I think the original intent of the box set rules is in the case of more than one movie in the set, though I could be wrong.
I will gladly withdraw mine if this is the case... |
