| Posted: | | | | Been noticing the past few days or more that I have a few ( turns out to be over 8 titles) good 20th Century Fox titles where the studios have been replaced with - Malpaso / (as shown) .
titles included Star Wars / Young Frankenstein / Sound of Music . and a few others
I then did a check for studios and found I have two in my Profiler one is Malpaso and the other is Malpaso / .. Both named Studios are related to Clint Eastwood., But am wondering how this came to be?? Also what is Malpaso / ? | | | In the 60's, People took Acid to make the world Weird. I just checked my profiles for Star Wars / Young Frankenstein / Sound of Music and I don't see the problem you describe . | | | My WebGenDVD online Collection |

I had this a couple of months back... Malpaso was a noticible one because of the memorable name. It changes a few others too (or did for me). No amount of Database Repair helped because (I found out, in may case) the data is all fine, it's a problem with the way it's being read. IIRC I solved it by backing up my database, creating a new, blank one and then performing a restore database into the newly created blank one. I hope this works for you too. | | | It is dangerous to be right in matters where established men are wrong |

| Posted: | | | | When editing profiles, the Studios section can be pretty touchy. I'm extra extra careful now whenever I mess around in there because the same thing you guys are descirbing has happened to me. I was trying to add a new Studio once and somehow instead of adding a new studio it renamed my "20th Century Fox" entry (because it's the first one in the list) to the new name. So in the contribution I was working on everything looked fine. But then I noticed I had an awful lot of movies that were set to this new Studio I had entered which was weird since it hadn't existed before which is why I had to add it. The next time I went into the Studios editor I noticed that "20th Century Fox" was now missing so I knew what had happened. I still don't know how I did it because I'm pretty sure I clicked the "Add" button like I always do, but who knows. | | | "Rules are for the obedience of fools and the guidance of wise men" - Douglas Bader "A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools." - Douglas Adams |

| Posted: | | | | Guess what? I just checked my Star Wars and I have two studios that I added when I made a submission last week. So I guess I renamed something in my Studio list too. In fact I just checked and I replaced two studios 20th Century Fox and 20th Century Fox Home Ent. So in case any of you want to correct your profiles...Stars Wars are now "Marathon Music and Video" Glad I read this thread! Peabody edit: I think Voltaire53's solution should either be pinned or at least added to the Tips and tricks because it is obvious others will have the same problem and be looking for a solution. Forget that: I tried and it did not work for me. | | | Last edited: by Peabody |

Hmmm. Nevermind. Now I see what the problem is about. | | | John
