| Posted: | | | | Hi, Actually I have 2 questions...
1) I am running on 2 computers. I add entries at one or the other, then upload...then download to the other. However, it seems if I make a new tag (meaning a new top level tag that has never been seen on the other computer), it never appears on the other computer. Is that the case? or am I doing something wrong? Shouldn't the list of tags be part of what is sent online?
2) The "actor pictures' etc... is the only way those come in is if I manually download/drag headshots? do the NEVER get downloaded from the "master" database when I add a new movie?
Thanks in advance for any help! |

| Posted: | | | | Headshots are NEVER part of the Online database and thus you have to build your own. There is a headshot database that someone has created which presents its own set of problems, the most important of those however is legal. Most pictures are copyrighted by SOMEONE, SOMEWHERE, you can under US Fair Use laws construct your own set of images from wherever you obtain them. However, once those images are shared, either for free or fee, you run afoul of Copyright Law. This explains why the Headshots will never be available to the Online, Invelos would have to pay a fee to the Copyright holders to be allowed to use them for download which would make the Program cost more..

A better way of sharing the database is either to do the Backup/restore (which will keep all Tags). or if the two computers are on a single network then you could share the database. The online database is purely a way of showing your dvds and was never intended for using as a means of transferring the profiles between two PCs. | | | Paul |

I will try the backup/restore way and see if that works better for me. |
