I some how got these two windows split apart. I have tried dragging, closing, opening, and can not figure out how to merge them back so that i get "general" and the "discs" then "easter eggs" as i had when i installed.

It's possible just a bit awkward!  , when you're dragging the window around you just need to move the mouse around until you see a "tabs" icon in the blue preview area as opposed to the icon with the arrow in it.

Edit: if you're wanting to create tabs in a window that doesn't have any, drag the mouse over the title bar of the window - that should show the icon.
