| Posted: | | | | I have a simple question, hopefully not 25 pages... To profile a Documentary (WWII) , is the narrator considered cast? I don't see it under crew, even though I am pretty sure the narration was done after the film was complete, similar to sound and music etc. which would be considered crew. Ok, I know I said "a question" but here is "a question" #2 they interview some people in the film and they are credited at the end so they would be listed as cast also, correct? Ok, Ok, "a question" #3: Even though Documentaries are not 'specifically' listed in what to contribute, they are allowed, right? I better quit now or I will have 25 pages just with my own question. | Posted: | | | | Narrator is typically listed under cast. If they are not specifically credited, then you will need to provide documentation and mark them as "uncredited".
People who were interviewed in the documentary are also "cast". Again, if tey aren't listed in the actual film credits, documentation will be needed.
Documentaries are certainly permitted to be submitted. There is even a genre for them. | | | Hal |

| Posted: | | | | Yes. Yes. And Yes. This is a program for profiling video DVDs and their content; any film or TV show should fit. All cast that is listed in the credits should be listed including the narrator if listed. With proper documentation you can add uncredited cast (but not crew). pdf edit; someone came into my cube as I was typing this so I had to stop for a bit and then Hal answered all the questions before I hit submit. | | | Paul Francis San Juan Capistrano, CA, USA | | | Last edited: by pdf256 |

| Posted: | | | | Thanks for the info. Yes they are credited at the end of the film. Seems like it's a low budget company, because most of the crew won't be able to be input because they did some strange jobs which are not listed in the rules. for example, if I remember correctly, for the filming of the interviews there are 5 or 6 listed as "Camera and Sound" ( I expected to see,"Sound,Camera,Makeup and Floor Sweeper ) so I have no way to tell which is which, so I will probably just add things that are specific like Director, Producer. Do you actually have a documentary where he is being interviewed directly? It would have had to have been made before 1945. I don't seem to recall him hanging around much after that. |

Sorry - didn't catch the "interviewed" part... | | | Berak
