| Posted: | | | | I have this problem when i submited a couple of profiles. I recently purchaced the 4 volumes of Neurotically Yours. two of the 4 volumes would not able to contribute with the error saying:
Unable to contribute this profile DVD profiler is unable to validate the UPC. Please verify the UPC and ensure you have entered the entire code.
I verified it, no doubt and doubled checked it.
UPC are as followed
Vol. 1: 311761 222755 (this was already entered and contributed and i updated it) Vol. 2: 311711 222755 (would not take and gave the error, very simillar but 1 is used not a 6) Vol. 3: 311711 211715 (Also would not take and gave the error) Vol. 4: 700261 218618 (absolutely no problem with this one)
any help would be appreciated |

DVDP is correct. These are both illegal UPCs. The last digit is a checksum in a UPC and in this case the checksum shows the UPC is invalid.
A Google on Volume 2 shows the correct UPC to be 311761 222755 (which is legal) Volume 3 I can't find anywhere!
Where did you get them (they're all but unavailable anywhere that I can find)?
Whether there has been a mis-print I don't know. Is it possible to get a barcode scanner and check they just haven't printed the incorrect number on a correct barcode? | | | It is dangerous to be right in matters where established men are wrong |

Sounds very believable; sorry I missed that they were the same! | | | It is dangerous to be right in matters where established men are wrong | | | Last edited: by Voltaire53 |

| Posted: | | | | I bought these from the main website of WWW.illwillpress.com which is the creators site. They are availible at Hot Topic stores as well, but they are not really released in the mainstream like bestbuy or cdunivers amizone ect. Maybe that is why his barcode has changed drastically with the new volume 4 that way released? the other volumes have been availible for a few years now i beleive. I can atest these are not bootlegs, as for the upc, i'd still like to submit the additions for vol 2 and 3 in the correct format. |

| Posted: | | | | Unfortunately as it stands you cannot submit them with the UPCs they have. It seems the vendor hasn't followed the correct procedure for assigning them, so all you can do is submit them via disc id.
It's a similar scenario where smaller sellers re-use UPCs. | | | IVS Registered: January 2, 2002 |

| Posted: | | | | Gotcha, i went ahead and submitted the two with the disk id's.
the current volumes that are in the database are older original versions which also i have. He recently released the two volumes and updated the artwork menus and playablility. i purchased all 4 volumes at the same time last week. on the new release of volume 2, the 6 as i've stated was changed to a 1 so now they do have different upcs. |
