I just recently downloaded the new 3.0 DVD Profiler...I went to upload my entire collection to the website like I have done in the past...but with a big problem.  It goes through the steps of uploading, but half way through it just all of a sudden says it's completed the upload successfully.  And yet when I check the online portion..it says there is no profile uploaded...can someone help please?  Thanks.

You are currently shown as having a "free account" (no eye-logo next to the user name). With a free account you can only upload collections of 50 DVDs or less.

If you had a premium account in the past, you can use your key from InterVocative to upgrade your Invelos account.

Unless he had one of those 'cracked keys' that Ken was on about, then it won't work.

The previous version required a key even for the free version.  The 3.0 version does not require a key to use the free version.  You can use all the features but you are limited to 50 total DVDs.  Once your collection is over 50 DVDs then certain features are disabled, one being the ability to upload your collection (atleast, not more than 50).  If you own more than 50 DVDs then I can't imagine how you cannot afford $30 to purchase the software you use to inventory them.  If you want to be cheap, then use Excel to keep your inventory..

If you're old key was a premium key you paid for then all you need to do is upgrade it (for free) to a 3.0 key.  See this FAQ about upgrading.

I've been using DVD Profiler for a few years now and have long wanted something to also catalog my CDs and books as well as DVDs.  I was hoping that the 'profiler people would release something.  With the new 50 DVD limit in 3.0 and the lack of Mac (and Palm) support, I'm moving to Delicious Monster.

Nice add.

The price is $40.00 and it only runs on a Mac!

In other words, for the last few years, you've been a freeloading jerkoff. And since the free ride is over, you're moving on to another product. Well, goody for you. Don't let the doorknob hit ya where the good Lord split ya on your way out.

True but its a bit the other way aswell.
First you can upload fine and then they decide to cut everyone of and decide to make it a premium function aswell.

Mostly you add more premium function while leaving the basics the same.

Maybe so, but the profiler in 2.4 really gave so much away for free it was hardly an incentive to buy the full release... and now the developer relies on Profiler for 100% of his income a small limit to funtionality for people who have 50 or more DVDs is hardly a great hardship.

As pointed out, if you can afford >50 DVDs you can surely afford the price of DVDP: $30 is only about the price of one full price DVD for a lifetime licence including free upgrades... let's see Microsoft offer you that one.

True, its a "company" (sortoff not? internet only?) and company's want to make money.

Not sure what it all adds but I'm mainly using it to upload a list to the internet to show(off ) to other people and to also have a list for myself.
Haven't been buying dvd's for a long time (as I look at it, years already but mainly buying games first and now dvd's) and I also just want a list for myself as I said.

Its not like its a huge deal but I just think/feel that $30 is just a bit too much for what you get in return.
Plus its sortoff different that they placed the "bigger online collection list" in the premium package.
While I don't like it (above reason mentioned) I can ofcourse understand it but in combination for what I want, the price the package etc I just... ehm don't know. If you get my point.

Maybe I'll look what else it adds and if it are things I like/need/want but for now not sure if I gonna keep using this program.
But as you pointed out...... you know you are wrong ofc, $30 is another dvd to buy  .
