I noticed in the Actors list in the edit portion of the program there is two listings for Billy Bob Thornton. One has the first name Billy Bob, the other has the first name Billy and middle name as Bob. Anybody have an idea which one is right and can the other one be removed? I'm wondering because he is cast in both Armageddon and Monster's Ball and when I click on the cast information button. The profiles that he appears in is just the movie I have the cast list up for the moment not both of them. Anybody else notice this type of thing?

I would definitely use Billy in the First name field, Bob in the Middle name field, and Thornton in the Last name field - Billy/Bob/Thornton - but I'm sure others will disagree because they feel that Billy Bob is his first name.

According to the biography on his official website (here):

Quote:
Yes, Billy Bob is his legal, given name.

And at no point in the text is he called "Billy", always "Billy Bob".

So I would say that "Billy Bob" goes in the first name field with no middle name.

I am glad we do not have middle names here in The Netherlands. It makes life a lot less complicated.

So are you Martin_/Zuidervliet or Martin/_Zuidervliet?

What do you think? I am only using the underscore to link my first and last name so they won't be separated.

Because he said the Dutch don't have middle names.

His response implies that he is using a false name. I'm not happy about this.

I'm slowly, reluctantly, coming to the conclusion that DVDP would be a lot better off with only 2 name fields instead of 3.  For alphebetizing purposes, we need two fileds - for first and last names.  I originally supported the adoption of 3 name fields, but that's probably because of my personal bias to "US Standard Naming - first/middle/last.  But if there were only 2 fields available to us, many of the arguments (if not most) dealing with how names should be parsed would go away.
