| Posted: | | | | I pretty new to this software and I don't really know how the contribution system works. I have contributed some titels that didn't exist in the database without any problems, but now I have tried to contribute two titles that gets declined every time I try. The information I get is: Sources for one or more of the changes and/or additions were not submitted. Please include the sources for your changes in the contribution notes, especially for cast and crew additions. What sources are they talking about? Link to IMDB or what? The titles im trying to contribut are: DOA: Dead or AliveThe Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King: Limited EditionMy question is why do the get declined? Don't really understand this? |

My question is why do the get declined? Don't really understand this? definitely NOT imdb or other third party databases! Take the credits from the dvd's. Reading in the forums and the contribution rules will help you a lot! | | | Thorsten |

| Posted: | | | | the program is getting more strict as to siting your sources for information, particularly cast / crew due to people copying data from IMDB and other third party databases.
your cast/crew data should come from the discs credits, and you should note that in your contribution - you will then not get declined for this reason.
please do not start a discussion about why IMDB data is not allowed, i am pretty sure there are at least two threads already in progress about this. the basic jist is they do not allow data scraping, and Invelos does not wish to open themselves up to possible legal troubles. | | | -JoN |

| Posted: | | | | The system was changed recently. You are now required to provide detailed information about the data you contribute, even for new profiles (that was previously not necessary). Just say in your Notes where the data is from and things should go well. As mentioned above, the correct source for Cast & Crew are the movie's credits only. BTW, the Rules are here. | | | Achim [諾亞信; Ya-Shin//Nuo], a German in Taiwan. Registered: May 29, 2000 (at InterVocative) |

| Posted: | | | | You need to inform Invelos in your notes where you got your cast and crew info from. For example: Did you copied an other profile, entered the whole credit list manually or used an official movie site? | | | Martin Zuidervliet
