| Posted: | | | | I have over 700 dvds in DVD Profiler, with trailers linked to most. The way I did this was in the Notes section I added: <A HREF="../VOBs/2035-tr.VOB">Trailer</A><BR>
It worked great, invoking my PowerDVD program and running the trailer. Now I get "This program cannot display the webpage." I have double checked that the trailers are in the correct location in relation the the .exe, even moved them around to see if it mattered, but it didn't.
Also, I have snapshop jpgs in the notes above the trailers... same problem <IMG SRC="../../a/burbs.jpg" WIDTH=160 HEIGHT=120 BORDER=0><BR>
I've had this whole system working great for several years, and now I can't see my snapshots or my trailers. HELP!
I'm running XP and DVD Profiler 3.0.3 (just downloaded today). |

You should try to move your VOBs folder to C:\Documents and Settings\your_account\Application Data\DVD Profiler | | | Laura |

| Posted: | | | | The reason I think it's not working is because you're using "..\" to change the location of the link. However, I believe that HTML windows are loaded via your Temporary Internet folder, which means that the window is looking in completely the wrong place for your files. Remove the ".." and replace it with a definite file address ("C:\Documents and Settings\" etc.) and hopefully that will fix it. |

Well, by putting the complete location string, it is pulling the jpg and trailer correctly. However, this is a big problem for me. I also see that the new DVD Profiler has loaded over 200 MB in My Documents. This isn't going to work for me either. I do not have a computer of my own, and just have DVD Profiler on an external drive that I plug into my work computer. I am not allowed to have personal files on my work computer. GE will delete stuff if they find it.
I need to move the stuff loaded into My Documents back down to my external drive, but still have DVD Profiler find the files. Where can I set this up?
Back to the original problem. I did not change operating systems, so why did the old DVD Profiler handle the ../.. syntax correctly and the new one not? The problem is that when I plug my external drive in, it doesn't always load it as the same drive letter. Sometimes it is G:, sometimes H:, etc., so hard-coding it won't work! |

| Posted: | | | | For your 1st problem - go to create new database and tick the copy current database box. This will create a new database at a location of your choice, you can then simply delete the old one. However Profiler will still create folders in your "MY Documents" folder for layouts and reports - there is no way of changing this yet. Unfortunately I can't think of a way of solving your 2nd problem though. I can't think of any way in HTML to change drive letter without hard coding. |

| Posted: | | | | MarEll, this isn't really a feature of DVDp, but something I have added to Notes to be able to play my trailers that I have saved as VOBs on my external drive. With this code, I can click on the "Trailer" in my notes and Power DVD 6 will kick off and play the trailer. |
