I’d like to make a request.  What about a tool in the profiler program that analyses your collection.  The analysis would determine if you had gaps in a series, sequels and versions.  The report could give you the option on adding a movie to your “Wish List”  or excluding it from future searches.

What would be the source in determining these gaps?

This wouldn't work unless there's a feature added to allow us to define the content of each collection or series.  I don't want to be the one to list what makes the "Paramount Widescreen Collection"

I could really see the benefit of this for TV shows or a few movies (with prequels & sequels, etc) but beyond that, YIKES!!

Anything near what Touti stated would be not what was intended by the initial thought of this thread (I think).

not sure id be into this - but... looking at the topic.... i thought it was something totally differant

a tool that tells you what profiles are not complete.... i.e. "flag all dvds without aspect ratio set" etc. - to help those of us who really do strive for completion of profiles find them all... at 1000+ i really cant go one by one

Something like Amazon's recommendations would be nice though, and it would probably be able to point out obvious holes in the collection. To work with minor localities, it should probably group everything across all localities based on original title (yes, this does mean it will get a few wrong, but it's recommendations, not an exact science).

Lars
