| Posted: | | | | I have seen several overviews where they include such things as "Disc 1, Sides, no numbers, numbers that correspond to the number of episodes in the set, numbers that correspond to the number of episodes in a season (for those split into multiple volumes) and numbers that correspond to the total amount of episodes.
For example: Disc 1 1. Episode name
or
Side B 1. Episode name
or
1. Episode name
or
35. Episode Name
Personally I think that the numbers should correspond to the amount of episodes in the set regardless if the season is split into volumes or not.
Is there any sort of standard in regards to how to list episodes in the overview? |

| Posted: | | | | The standard that most contributors have been using is.
1. Episode Name 2. Episode Name
and so forth.
The only time I've seen a devation is for multiple seasons in a set.
Season 1 1. Episode Name
Season 2 1. Episode Name
For simple episode list, listing discs and disc sides really isn't a simple list. That information is stored in the Disc Info. | | | Are you local? This is a local shop the strangers you would bring would not understand us, our customs, our local ways. |

| Posted: | | | | The rules only insist on "a simple list", and I know that there is an agreed format for numbering ("1." instead of "1:" or "1 - " etc.) but other than that I have seen no agreed format for how the list itself should be formatted. I have also seen a number of different formats myself in current profiles, either complete lists or separated by discs etc. and to be honest, it doesn't really bother me as long as the format is consistent within programmes, if different programmes are differently formatted, that's ok with me. In short, go with what you think looks best - as long as it's "a simple list". |

| Posted: | | | | The TV series rules are currently under revision in the rules forum. I'm sure there will be a standard soon. Since it was decided to use the format "1. Episode Name" for the episode dividers, it is very likely the same will be used for the simple list of episodes. So it would make sense to use this format for contributions already. | | | Michael |
