| Posted: | | | | I made an image and profile contribution for Apocalypto UPC 5-051429-101118. I uploaded Cast & Crew details as well as the correct aspect ratio.
My scans were approved but the profile was declined. I don't understand why my profile was declined, can someone advise me please.
Thanks, James. |

| Posted: | | | | first thought that comes to my mind since you didn't say here... did you take the cast and crew from the end credits? The rules state you must used the movie credits only for cast and crew.
Next thing I am wondering... did you get any no votes on your submission? they should give you an idea of what may be wrong. | | | Pete |

| Posted: | | | | I copied the cast and crew details from an existing Apocalypto profile, R1 I think. I got two Yes votes. |

| Posted: | | | | I was just talking about this on another thread... that might be the problem... especially if you didn't verify this with the end credits... you could be copying mistakes from another profile.
It is one thing to use another profile for a starting point... but you should not just take from another profile and just submit it... you must always verify any cast and crew info you contribute with the end credits as per the rules. And if you did verify it yourself... did you let it known that it was verified by the end creidts?
Also... did you put sources for all your info in the contribution notes? Ken (the programmer) just posted a reminder that you must source your data.
Other then the above I have no more ideas why it might of gotten declined... from there if you did all that and sure all your info contains no errors I would just re-submit the profile with detailed notes once again. | | | Pete |

Maybe the R1 version contained data from a doubtful source? Only reliable procedure is comparing the details with the credits in the film! | | | Thorsten |

Thanks, James. The latest profile for the R1 version is correct, because I did it. | | | John

That's undoubtful a reliable source
The contribution procedures seems not to be really transparent As I said in another thread... even if it was verified in the other profile... I would still verify it myself before submitting it... if you are going to submit something... everything you submit should be verified by you... at least in my opinion. -Gerri Yes... that is one reason I have forgotten about... what with it being a fairly new feature still. | | | Pete |

I used this tactic recently for a newly submitted Flags of Our Fathers that had at least 3 versions in the data base and the disc I was submitting had a lot of changes to do, so after contributing the various scans and cast/crew data etc I pasted this info into the data info box: this is the approved contributed cast info submitted by Skip and approved: New Contribution re: upc 097361-178240 Evaluate this contribution Profile Contribution Approved 2007-03-13 23:27:41 Image Contribution Approved 2007-03-13 23:27:41 It got approved. | | | In the 60's, People took Acid to make the world Weird.
