| Posted: | | | | I've have received a few comments regarding rounded corner on scans I've submitted. I have not been able to locate rules regarding this topic, if anyone knows the rules please share.
Personally I do not see a need to remove them by cropping or coloring.

| Posted: | | | | some people do fill in the space (like us). sticklers might say that do so would not be a true representation of the cover scan, but i don't recall any 12 page arguments about it. no doing so, however, should not be a reason for declining a contribution. in our humble opinion. krik | | | "Vampirism is still not a disease, Julia. | Posted: | | | | McCode the unofficial standard is to do so, if you choose not to you will ultimntely find someone replacing your work on that basis. This is not a standara that I started, but I do support it strictly for aesthetic reasons.

| Posted: | | | | It's better to have a cover scan with rounded corners than no scan at all!
Also, the scans are outside the plastic case, which is not normally how we look at our disc artwork.
Filling in the corners looks a whole lot better. Notice how retailers do not show rounded corners on their cover scans? Perhaps studios provide them with the pre-cut artwork?
If there was a rule to tell people to fill in the rounded corners, not everybody would have the know-how to use a paint program clone tool and make it look good, so best not to make a rule -- and let others fill corners in in later submissions. | | | Last edited: by Doombear |

| Posted: | | | | There's no rule I know of banning rounded corners or demanding to fill these out. If the cover actually has rounded corners, you can fill these to a full 90 degree angle or crop them if possible. But you're in no way obliged to do so by the rules, and a "no" vote can't be founded on this issue.
Like Skip said, someone might come along and replace the cover later on, but that's another story.
submitting images with rounded corners is perfectly ok, according to the rules. | | | Lutz |

| Posted: | | | | And in the case of Star Trek, The Next Generation, Deep Space Nine, Voyager complete seasons sets the cases are actually rounded in each corner anyway.
So to straighten those corners would be against what the cover actually looks like. IMHO.

| Posted: | | | | Given the choice, I prefer the rounded corners if that's how the cover is (assuming a neutral background). I won't vote No if they're not though. |

| Posted: | | | | I agree, if the cover has round corners, the scan should reflect that |
