| Posted: | | | | I bought a new PC running Windows Vista and I installed the latest version of DVD Profiler (Ver 3.0.3, build 1136).
I backed up my data base from my old computer which is running Windows XP and has Version 3.0.2, build 1124) of Profiler.
When I tried to restore my data base to my new computer I received an error and the restore aborted.
The error message is:
This file format is a later version than this programs version. The new format is incompatable with this version. To process this file, obtain a newer copy of DVD profiler.
Huh??? My file format is a "later" version!! How can my file format be a "later" version? Is it telling me that a data base created on Version 3.0.2 cannot be restored to Version 3.0.3?
Has anyone else encountered this anomoly? Is there a solution? Thanks. |

| Posted: | | | | Have you tried to update the old XP box version to 3.03, build 1136 and then trying to backup and restore? Also, have you run the database repair facility before you did the backup? | Posted: | | | | Thanks for your suggestions, FunkyLA. I was finally successful after doing another full backup from my XP machine followed by a restore in the new one. It worked fine this time around. |
