There is a UPC-Import Plugin but you would lose any personal data (purchase prices and place, notes etc) If you still have your old DVD Profiler Backup you could first import that. Subsequently try to get an UPC-List of all DVDs that were entered only in Collectorz and import that with the mentioned Plugin. cya, Mithi | | | Mithi's little XSLT tinkering - the power of XML --- DVD-Profiler Mini-Wiki |

| Posted: | | | | well, i tried it, it imported about 200 out of 1800, says all invalid, i would say at least 1600 were from dvdpro 2.4, that i converted to collectorz, and exported to txt file from there, so did i miss something here?
thanks |

thanks not sure where this text file comes in?? You just need your v2.4 backup and restore directly from that into v3. ps - you seem to have asked this in two threads. And I've given more info in the other thread. | | | Paul | | | Last edited: by pauls42 |

And even if the case is that no local backup file was made (or kept), I see his online collection is still posted on IVS with 1639 entries. At least going back to that would leave only the ~200 from collectorZ to be accounted for... may be a preferable starting point. I'm a bit confused with the info you've given in the two threads as to what exactly you're starting with, so I'll just outline one option of recovering your old database: 1. Download and re-install 2.4/2.5 2. Download your online collection from IVS back into Profiler 2a. Download all cover images (as these don't automatically restore by default) 3. Make backup file 4. Download and install 3.0.3 5. Restore from the backup you made with 2.x 5a. Repair any UPCs/EANs that didn't convert correctly - there will be a few of these 5b.
