Gread, this 3.2 of DVD Profiler.

Now we have the Media List and can nor only collect DVDs, alos HD-DVD, Blue ray are possible. Now its time to ask for additional digital Media Types. This are:

UMD (Playstation Portable = very importend for me)
Video CD (I love my complete collection beginning 1994 und common in the asia region)
Laser Disc (for freaks not importend for me but to make the list complete)

Please give me your vote to make this possible

I would say the program is still called DVDProfiler, not MediaProfiler or MovieProfiler. Why not include Videotape. HD and BD are both at the very least kissing cousins to DVD, in fact one of them actually uses DVD as part of its name. Its possible but I would say highly unlikely.

Hi Skip!

I was shure you are the first coming up with this nameing convention argument. You are doing this the hole time.

Why?

What are Cousins?

having the same size? (Video CD also have the same size!) Then they are cousins!!!
the Codec? (Video CD and Laserdisc and DVD are using MPEG 1 or 2) Then they are Cousins!!!

A Picture of an Actor not part of a DVD Profile. Its part of a human. Buts its supported.

If your are so inprufed with names and conventions please use the right for the things you are talking about.

A HD is a Hard Disc (a storage Component of a Computer)

This forum is for "Feature Request".

I come up with Movie Media Support Feature. I thing this is a legal request.

I hope more will vote for features like this to bring Ken, his new company and the product forward.

Why you came up to bring this to a name discussion?. Political correctness?

LOL, hud:

Let's try this a little differently. This has been requested by many users, including myself dating back to the very earliest days at the Old site SEVEN years ago. You are NOT the first and you won't be the LAST.  Thus far for Seven Years the answer has been NO, in fact both Video CDs and LaserDisc are spceifically  barred per the Rules, and I would be surprised if it suddenly changed.

The question would however be WHY?

Why would BluRay and HD-DVD be so much easier to add than VCD or LaserDisc ? I really can't think of a reason other than limited interest and them being dead formats. In fact, I'm not interested myself either as I only have DVDs and BluRays. But I sure can see the value of a request like that...

Hi Skip,

is it part of the DVD profiler roles that you write something to everything?

I say it in your words:
This has been requested by many users. I am not the first and will not be the last. Also you had ask for it.

Thanks for the fundament of my request. Now its on Ken todo or not todo it.

For this forum the forum underline is: "bring request to us and other readers"

we two have discussed it now let see what we get from Ken.

I hope at minimum the UMD for PSP.

No, there are many I don't respond to as a matter fact. I offered history for you to u nderstand and the response I get from you is rather snippy. So much for trying to be a nice guy. Repter I have no idea why, I only know it has never happened though nearly every user makes the request at some point, So whatever his reasoms Ken does not appear to want to go there.

Are there even sources for data such as original release date and original SRP for those items anymore (other than UMD)?

Ummm... If Laserdisc
is so Important to you, I'd think you would as least know that it's an analog format, more closely related to Records or
CED Video Discs then DVD's.

Besides a quick look in the forums would have shown you this topic has been beaten to death.
