| Posted: | | | | When I go to the database tag to view the contributions, lately it has been only titles that I own. Does it filter out tites I own so I can vote on them, or is this just a coincidence? |

| Posted: | | | | You can only vote on titles that you have added to your online database
So, if you buy 20 new discs, add them to your local database, but do not "sync" with your online database, you will not be able to vote on them
After all, how can you verify the details are correct, if you don't have the disc in your collection?

I believe movies on your Wishlist and Ordered lists will show up as well, unless that's what you are saying has changed. If they have finally changed that then I think that's a good move as I don't see the point in being able to vote on movies in your Wishlist. | | | "Rules are for the obedience of fools and the guidance of wise men" - Douglas Bader "A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools." - Douglas Adams |

There are elements of a title in your wishlist that you CAN verify even if you don't have the disc. If someone submits the wrong locality, for example, or the wrong language in the overview. You don't have to own the disc to know that an overview written in French is wrong for a R1 USA profile. You also don't need to have the disc in hand to determine that a contributor has not given a source for his cast/crew changes. You often don't need to have the actual disc to vote on images - some changes are evident on the screen. And the UPC on the image may not match the UPC of the profile. You don't need the disc to determine that.
So there ARE some things you can verify even if you only have the title in your wishlist. | | | Another Ken (not Ken Cole) Badges? We ain't got no badges. We don't need no badges. I don't have to show you any stinking badges. DVD Profiler user since June 15, 2001 |
