The rules state that we should select "all" regions when at least regions 1-6 are allowed on a disc. I don't see an option to select "All Regions" in my version (3.0.3.1136) which leaves me asking - Is "no region code" (or code zero) accepted to be the same as "All Regions"? I know in effect they function the same but literally they are the exact opposite ! How do I proceed ? Any thoughts?

For All Regions you need to flag all the regions 1-6.
For Region 0 you need to make sure none of the regions 1-6 are flagged.

Why when you select region all does Profiler show a 1 in the region box? Shouldn't it show a 0 or an A?

AFAIK Region 0 is the same as all regions. So all regions should be unchecked. And that shows it as region 0.

Thanks Martin, I had already been checking each region that applied so that section of the rules was confusing. It seemed to be saying that they would rather see an "ALL" then a 1,2,3,4,5,6 but that option didn't seem to be available. I will continue to check each region as I have been.

egg: When I select all regions Profiler shows a "M" signifying multiple regions.

Roger: Region 0 would represent the absence of region codes as opposed to "ALL" regions being specified. The effect is the same in that any DVD player should be able to play either disc but they are actually the opposite of each other.

from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DVD_region_codes

"A so-called "Region 0" disc (actually coded Region 1/2/3/4/5/6) is meant to be playable worldwide"

Just to be picky, but an 'All regions' disc would be regions 1-8

Not for profiler purposes! Regions 7 and 8 are ignored in profiler. Therefore all regions is regions 1-6 (or more).

right.  regions 7 and 8 are non-commercial "regions" not associated with any geographic area, thus are not considered for this program.

Not for me it doesn't.
If I have selected 2 regions then it shows those two, if I select any more then it shows an M. If I have "no region" selected then it shows a 1.
Is this just a default and if a disc is region 0 then do you have to select all regions?

I think this sould be changed by Ken unless it is clearly written in the rules that "All regions" and "No Regions" should be marked by selecting all the regions in the profile.

Leaving the field empty for R0 is a wrong way of doing things. The absence of something cannot mean the presence of something else.  What I mean by this is that when I look at a profile, if there is no region I don't know if it's region 0 or if the contributor(s) simply didn't bother putting them in.

I couldn't find this... Can you help...?

I only saw:
List DVDs encoded for at least Regions 1-6 as "All." Regions 7-8 are ignored for the purposes of DVD Profiler.
but that is basically from 2.x, where the left most radio button was labelled All regions...?

No it's not there, my bad here.  I meant it in the way of "unless the rule is changed" to say this.
