| Posted: | | | | I searched the forums and couldn't get any hits on "boxed" so I'm looking for advice on how to handle a boxed set. For example I have the "Best Of Discovery Channel Volume 3" as a boxed set. So far I've added the individual DVDs which come in their own Keep Case, but how do I now create the boxed set? Thanks for any advice .... Ed |

Then, if you still have questions, come back here and ask specifics, rather than general. | | | John

Ed If you're asking what I think you're asking, what you need to do is create another profile that contains only the info of the boxed set itself, no info about the dvds inside. Then, while editing it, go to the box set page and assign all the individual dvds to this profile. |

| Posted: | | | | Thanks for the advice, which was right on the nail .... except I do have a follow-up .... I just finished wading through adding the entire James Bond Ultimate Edition (all 20 Movies). I found that the UPC code got the "box" recognised (the ouside/collection box), but no details on the individual movies which don't have a UPC code. I ended up inserting each disc, then letting it be looked up, and downloading each individual profile. Once I had done then, then I could do as you said and "assign" the discs to the collection.
Is there a way to download all the parts of a box set in a situation like this? (and I know I owe a huge thanks to the person who went through and put all the details in the first time - I just looking for a better way to take advantage of all the effort they went thru the first time!)
Thanks again .... |

Well you could've gone to add the childs by title, as when you type the title, on the right, you can see the UPC and/or disc-id. Just add the one with disc-id. Thing is, it doesn't guarantee you have the right. In the end, you might still have to put each DVD in you computer to make sure you have the right disc-ids. |
