Cheers Season 6 Error in Database |

"The XML for Cheers, Season 6 is seriously messed up around the Music/Composer credits. There is a string in the XML that looks like an FTP PORT command (which is a bit unlikely as a last name).
Does the profile look ok in the windows program? If it does, I would post on the Invelos board, as the XML is damaged in a non-recoverable manner.

The XML file that is generated from DVDProfiler for thomamon's database is damaged. I think that he has tried several times to export, getting the damage each time, and in the same place. I believe that he has tried the Repair Database command without success, and with the resulting XML remaining broken in the same place. If these things are not all true, I would suggest that he try those things to see if the problem goes away.
If it doesn't, then I think that it is a problem with the windows program somewhere, and Ken would be best equipped to help. It may provide useful information to attempt to create a backup that has only the affected profile in it, and see if exporting that also creates bad XML.
And I'd like to say Thank you to all of you who manfully resisted the impulse to redirect this conversation into a discussion of whether a last name of "PORT 192,75,152,1,35,43" would be acceptable or if it should be parsed differently (with or without documentation). | | | | -fred |
