| Posted: | | | | hello!!
There is some profiles existing in database 2.4 that are not present in database 3.0... is there a way to remove them from database 2.4 manually one by one (just the titles i am missing in database 3.0) and put them in contribution in the 3.0 database so i can reintegrate them in the new version??
in another words, how can we create a new profile for a dvd that is not existing with version 3.0... or import the few tiltes (not the whole database! already done that) from profiler 2.4 to 3.0?

First if you aregoiung to do this make sure you update the profile so that conforms with the current Rules. Beyond that the process is the same.

| Posted: | | | | Make a database backup in 2.4. Perform a database restore in 3.0. Select "Restore Specific Profiles", choose your profile from the list. Also, make sure you deselect "replace full user database", or you will loose your complete 3.0 database. If you wanna be safe, make a backup in 3.0 also. After the profile is restored, you can upload it like any other profile. | | | View my collection at http://www.chriskepolis.be/home/dvd.htm

Thanks for the tip. worked like a charm! | | | Hi, I'm not sure who it is that will get this, but if there is someone out there that can tell me how to get around this 'Invalid Floating Point' error that I get when I start dvdprofiler I would appreciate it. |

| Posted: | | | | However, please be careful... AIUI the databases have been merged now so if one of the old 2.4 titles isn't in 3.0 there's a possibility that it is not a legit UPC/EAN. Please check this before adding it into the 3.0 database. | | | It is dangerous to be right in matters where established men are wrong |
