| Posted: | | | | I have a problem with the Clerks Box (Clerks II + I), the region 2 release of the Netherlands. The UPC in the database is 8713045213503, which corresponds with the UPC given by some vendors online (like http://www.freerecordshop.nl and http://www.vanleest.nl). Yet my box says 8713045213350. But Bol.com gives the UPC on the box (http://www.nl.bol.com/is-bin/INTERSHOP.enfinity/eCS/Store/nl/-/EUR/BOL_DisplayProductInformation-Start?BOL_OWNER_ID=1002004004914403&Section=VIDEO).
I already pondered correcting it but I read in some other topics about possible incorrectly printed UPC numbers under the barcode. Since some vendors also use the same number as the database I was wondering if perhaps the UPC number is printed incorrectly on the box. Does anyone know about this? Is there a way to verify what should be the correct UPC code? I could scan the barcode later and upload an image today when I am at home if that would help. |

Double check of course that there aren't any differences in your boxset (the new UPC might suggest a re-issue for example) That way both UPCs will be available for everyone. |

Agreed; many titles have two or more UPCs with exactly the same contents indicating anything from different productions runs to different security devices installed. They're probably both valid UPCs... they are certiainly both 'legal' from a checksum point of view so probably not just a mis-print. | | | It is dangerous to be right in matters where established men are wrong | | | Last edited: by Voltaire53 |

| Posted: | | | | That's the problem, I can't check the barcode either, I can just scan it with my scanner and upload it and hope someone with a barcode scanner could verify it.
As for a reissue, I highly doubt it, the Clerks box has just been released for the first time but I guess different production runs might be possible. I'll check the details of the current profile with my box when I'm at home and then make a UPC change. Thanks for the input people. |

| Posted: | | | | After some inspection I realized that I have a different version indeed, the covers are different from the one in the database. So there must be two releases, both with different box covers. I'll change my local profile to the UPC of my box, scan the box anew and contribute it as new contribution. | | | Last edited: by Herr Fogeltje |
