| Posted: | | | | Hello all,
I want to know if it s possible to have both dvd profiler 2.4 & 3.0 on the same hard disk ? As I m very happy with my 2.4 version, I hesitate a lot to upload to 3.0 So I want to keep the both dvd profiler only for a short time, only to check if I have not some problems with the new version ( Internet connection etc... )
Thanks for your help

Be aware 2.4 will be supported but AIUI there will be no updates to the central database from now on. | | | It is dangerous to be right in matters where established men are wrong |

I suppose I have to give another directory when I upload dvdprofiler 3.0 to obtain the both product on the same hard disk
I have a premium key with 2.4.0
Thanks again

The default install path is different anyway, and the database now installs itself in the my documents folder. Go the technical support forum and read the Upgrade FAQ to see how you can upgrade your 2.4 key to work with 3. You can still use both at the same time. | | | IVS Registered: January 2, 2002 |

| Posted: | | | | Don't worry - the 2.4 Profiler is by default installed in Program Files/Intervocative/DVD Profiler, but the new DVD Profiler installs itself in Program Files/DVD Profiler so if you didn't change the path of the 2.4 installation, there should be no clash. PS in case you didn't know, if you have a 2.4 premium key, you can get a 3.0 key for free! Edit: Lithurge got there first, dammit! | | | Last edited: by northbloke |

I made a goof or two while I had both versions open at the same time because I thought I was in the 3.x db when I was actually in the 2.4 db. I KNOW the layouts are different so it should have been obvious which db I was in, but I wasn't paying attention. | | | Another Ken (not Ken Cole) Badges? We ain't got no badges.
